Y por qué no, railes españoles
And why not, Spanish rails

Spanish first – English below

New York), controlaba (Union Pacific, Southern Pacific, Southern Pacific of México, San F., L. A. & St. L., St. Jo.

I apologize for my English

Now to read in a newspaper that they have buying Spanish rails or rail interlocks, in other countries not surprising, for example Arcelor Mittal (Veriña – Gijón – Asturias), Talleres Alegría (Asturias), Duro Felguera Rail (Asturias), JEZ (Alava – Basque Country), Amurrio Ferrocarril (Alava – Basque Country)… Although it is not new, in the Americans newspapers of 1905 can read the buying of Spanish rails by Railways from United States, this was the first rail contract that has ever been placed in Spain for United States, they were buying to Altos Hornos de Vizcaya, its price including, duty and transport was $27 ton, the price of the rails was $28 ton, more $10 ton. The buyers were the companies of E. H. Hariman (Hempstead - New York 20/02/1848) for California and lines in Mexico (Yaqui River & Pacific, Alamos - Guadalajara), the contract was 21000 tons, the first shipping was 5000 tons with destiny Galveston (Texas) (05/01/1906), city in honor at the Spanish military Bernardo de Galvez, Governor from Spanish Louisiana, and important figure in the Independence of United States, and other shipping were done to San Diego.

E. H. Harriman was a financer that he worked and won a lot of money in Wall Street, and also, he accumulated under his command a great railroad empire in United States, simply as fact, when he died (09/09/1909, Arden house - Orange County - New York) control (Union Pacific, Southern Pacific, Southern Pacific of México, San F., L. A. & St. L., St. Jo. & Grand Island, Illinois Central, Central of Georgia), dominant interest (Baltimore & Ohio, Delaware & Hudson), important interest (Erie, New York Central, W. & L. E. P. T.), and lesser interest (Atchison, Chicago & N. W., St. Paul) he set a railroad record in his train owner, New York - San Francisco , passed through Chicago in 71 hours and 27 minutes on 08/05/1906, 3255 miles (5238 km), on  18/04/1906 had happened the great San Francisco earthquake,
E. H. Harriman in 1909 after returning from Europe to see doctor
his son Averell broke the record on 25/10/1934 with the M10001 streamliner Los Angeles - New York, in 56 hours 55 minutes, 3284 miles (5285 km) the curious is that E. H. in those younger days he decide that he would like to be a soldier, he wanted to be a military leader and to go to West Point (United States Military Academy). Today, there are Spanish trains on rails in United States and Spanish trains are manufactured in the Talgo (Milwaukee - Wisconsin) http://web.talgoamerica.com/  y CAF (Elmira - Nueva York) http://www.cafusa.com/ .
